RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) launches Bottle Drive for Saturday

Calgary real estate news -The parking lot at RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) in Calgary will become a hub of activity this Saturday as the company launches its first-ever BottleDrive to support two local charities.

The Bottle Drive will be taking place Saturday at the RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., located at 2411 4th Street N.W., with all proceeds being donated to the Calgary Food Bank and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“The bottle drive is going to be a drive-thru bottle drive. Donators are asked to have all their bottles in garbage bags and place them in their vehicle’s trunks. When they arrive at the RE/MAX office they will stay in their car, pop open their trunks, and the volunteers will take the bags of bottles from their vehicles. Or if those donating prefer to remove their bags, they may do so. Our volunteers will be practicing social distancing and making sure that protective wear is worn during this event to do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19,” said Jessica Saunders, Conveyancing Supervisor/Administrator for RE/MAX Real Estate (Central).

“We chose to donate to The Calgary Food Bank due to the current difficult times many in our community are facing. We wanted to help support the community to ensure no one is left hungry during these difficult times. The Alberta Children’s Hospital is a natural fit for our fundraising activities as it is part of the Children’s Miracle Network which RE/MAX offices in North America have supported since 1992.”

A special thanks to Calmont Trucking which has donated a truck to transport the bottles as well as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers for the safety of event volunteers and the public during this event.

A special thanks also to East Hills Bottle Depot, located at 25 E HillsBlvd. S.E., which generously offered to dedicate one of its counters for anyone who would like to drop off recyclables between Friday May 29 to Sunday May 31 in support of the RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) Bottle Drive.

Giving back to the community is an important core value of RE/MAX RealEstate (Central). This community support has contributed to the company being one of the top RE/MAX offices worldwide for over two decades. Calgary real estate news
