IF you want something done, ask a busy person to do it, and if you want a house sold, then list it with the No. 1 real estate office in the world when it comes to closing deals. For the 18th consecutive year, RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) in Calgary has been named the top producing single RE/MAX office in the world based on closed transactions .

“This is an achievement we are very proud of and we owe it all to our amazing team of associates, team leaders, support staff, broker and managers,” says office owner Patrick Hare, who has 38 years in the industry himself and has helped make the office the remarkable and resilient success story it has become despite fluctuating market conditions over the past two decades. RE/MAX Real Estate (Central), located on #206, 2411 - 4 Street NW Calgary, Alberta • T2M 2Z8 in northwest Calgary, has stayed on top despite some challenging economic conditions in the city over the past two years. And the competition for this title is considerable, with over 7,300 RE/MAX real estate offices in more than 100 countries around the world. The Calgary office is well positioned, however, to be a top producer as its diverse and experienced team of 286 associates who, between them, speak two dozen languages and represent almost every corner of the globe, have built a reputation for professionalism and performance.

Calgary RE/MAX Careers-“Our associates represent a great many nations, cultures and religions, and yet our diversity only unites us, as I would certainly say that there is a great sense of camaraderie among our team members. That is truly one of the things that really sets us apart,” says Nick Profeta, a born-and-raised Calgarian who has been with the company 25 years and was recently named manager of the year in Western Canada. “Many have friendships that extend outside the office, and they really do care about each other’s success.” The owner and managers also take training and development very seriously and ensure associates have ample opportunities to sharpen their skills and keep on top of industry trends as well as legal and regulatory developments in the business. “One-on-one mentoring, weekly meetings, and both traditional and online training opportunities are made available so everyone can invest in themselves personally and their careers professionally,” says Hare. Associates always have access to the experience and expertise of managers, and associates may work independently, paired with a mentor with whom they share responsibilities and rewards or as part of a team.

“We have 27 real estate agent Teams operating out of our office and these teams are highly successful in leveraging each other’s strengths and sharing knowledge,” says Hare.

The weekly meetings also allow associates to learn, grow and share insights with other professionals on a very regular basis. “When you get about 120 real estate professionals in a room together learning from some of the top people in the industry who are presenting, as well as learning from each other as they network and talk about the market and what they are experiencing, there is a lot of knowledge that is being shared,” says Profeta. “That is valuable and keeps everyone sharp. And it’s not just once in awhile. It happens every week.” Personal growth is highly valued and supported, as is making meaningful contributions to the community individually and as a team.

“RE/MAX giving to the Children’s Miracle Network started right here in Calgary and then grew to Western Canada and then to Canada and all of North America, but we love that the support we provide to CMN stays right here in Calgary with the Alberta Children’s Hospital,” says Hare. “We are dedicated supporters of the Children’s Miracle Network as an office and on an individual basis with our associates donating a percentage of their commissions to the cause as well.” RE/MAX has raised more than $154 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other charities, Since they became a national sponsor in 1992, RE/MAX has raised more than $64 million for Canadian kids. On a national level, RE/MAX is Canada’s leading real estate organization, with more than 19,000 sales associates and over 750 independently owned and operated offices nationwide. But there is only one Calgary RE/MAX Real Estate (Central) office, and Hare says they will continue to set themselves apart by meeting the high standards they set for themselves collectively as an office and individually as the home of some of the top performing sales associates in Canada.
